Mariam graduated with a first class honors from the Faculty of Applied Arts, majoring in Advertising and Graphic Design, she worked for several years in the Advertising and Branding fields in different local and multinational agencies.

She’s always been very fond of arts and crafts from a very young age, as a kid she was constantly drawing, painting and creating stuff.

Introduced to Needlepoint Embroidery at the age of 13 during summer break by her mother, she immediately fell in love with the medium, then spent years exploring different forms of fiber arts and practicing more to hone her craft as an artist.

In 2018, after more than 6 years working as a graphic designer, she decided to make the change she’s always been dreaming of and pursue her passion for fiber arts professionally, so she started her small business.

She’s known for her contemporary style in stitching, finds her inspiration in modern art, botanicals, historical textiles, movies and books. She believes that fiber arts are powerful mediums, as they enable her to translate her ideas and concepts in a flexible way, with the huge variety of materials, techniques and the way she gets to combine them all together always results in an endless pool of visual possibilities, her work consists mainly of Contemporary Embroidery & Punch Needle Art.

Now she spends most of her time at her home studio, stitching and creating, she works on commissioned Embroidery & Punch Needle pieces every now and then, makes DIY kits for new learners and occasionally hosts face-to-face workshops.
